Maca Root – Does It Really Naturally Balance Hormones And Increase Libidity? The Benefits and Side Effects
My experience with this supplement was purely coincidental. I noticed that my body felt out of sync I was having hot flushes all too often. I just felt generally out of sorts. I wasn’t too worried at first. I thought it would eventually subside and things would get back to normal. However it didn’t, and on top of that I lost my appetite and I was having sleepless nights.
I mentioned this to a close friend, and she said she was experiencing more or less the same. After much discussion, we concluded that it must be that dreaded time in a woman’s life when she starts experiencing symptoms of peri-menopause, or even worse, menopause.
Well I wasn’t going to lose any more sleep over it. It’s not like I could turn back the clock. So I just went about my day as normal, as if nothing had changed. Then one day I was going through one of the many groups that I frequent, and one of the members mentioned that she’d started taking Maca Root for her hot flushes and it seemed to help.
I knew nothing about Maca Root, but in the pursuing hours, days and months, I was about to find out and experience exactly what it was. It turns out that it’s not just about menopause.

My Final Thoughts
I have been using Maca Root since 2016 in the capsule form. I take one a day after breakfast, and I can honestly say that it has helped increase my energy levels. My hot flushes have drastically reduced, but I notice they haven’t stopped completely. I sleep much better and deeper now, which has helped my energy levels throughout the day as well.
For what I was experiencing I believe it did the job in making things more manageable. It may work differently for someone else. The main attraction for me was the 100% herbal aspect. I felt no side effects.
It definitely gets a thumbs up from me.
